Andrew Thornton

From his start at trainer Arthur Stephenson’s yard in the North East of England Andrew moved South initially with Kim Bailey at Lambourn and subsequently with Robert Alner in Dorset to ride a succession of big race winners.

Champion amateur jockey in 1992 and winner of the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 1998 Andrew is one of the leading jockey’s in Britain.

Victorious on good horses See More Business and French Holly in addition to Gold Cup winner Cool Dawn. Andrew is one of the busiest riders in the weighing room.
